A few weeks ago Beijing International School sent out an invitation to take part in their Peace Tie Project. The fifth grade students at the school had completed a unit on Peace and started to think about what they could do to change the world. They decided to spread the message of peace by attempting to set a world record. Their goal is to create the world’s largest “Peace Tie”.
Here at Singapore American School, Ms Mac’s students were happy to help in their bid for the world record. Students from grade one to five worked collaboratively on several pieces of fabric. The world peace is written on each canvas in a different language. Using that as their starting point, students added their messages of hope and peace to the project.
The students here at SAS wish the kids at BISS the best of luck with their world record bid and thank them for the opportunity to take part in their project.
