A Visit From Rosemary Wells

On Tuesday, we were very lucky to have author and illustrator Rosemary Wells in my class.   The kids were excited to meet and the creator of the lovable Max and Ruby series. She talked to the kids about what it is like to be a working artist and the process involved in creating one of her well loved books. She also gave the students some tips on how to care for and use a paintbrush properly. After giving a quick lesson, students got to ask lots of great questions. Her best piece of advice, “Don’t concern yourself with trying to be famous or rich, find something you love and do it!”
