Azza Fahmy was our Artist of the Month for November. We found out that she finds her inspiration in the beautiful architecture of old Cairo. My grade five students went looking for inspiration around our school. Check out some of the beautiful jewelry they created using images, patterns and designs they found around the school.
Azza Fahmy was our Artist of the Month for November. I have been a huge fan of her jewelry since I lived in Egypt back in the 1990’s. Now I am a huge fan of the beautiful jewelry that my students have created. Grade three made bracelets out of Popsicle sticks and tongue depressors. Grade four used found objects to create necklaces, pins and hair clips. Grade 5 had lots of fun with Shrinky Dinks, beads and wire to create earings, necklaces, and bracelets.
